Starbreeze Production — Video Game Developer and Publisher

The “Starbreeze Production” entry in this database appears to refer to Starbreeze Studios, a Swedish game company whose history dates to 1998. Starbreeze is known for The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, The Darkness and, above all, the Payday series; Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons was developed at Starbreeze with filmmaker Josef Fares. The claim that a company called “Starbreeze Production AB” was sold to Rockstar Games in 2019 is not supported by reliable sources and has therefore been removed. Starbreeze continues to operate as an independent Swedish game company.
